In sum, Chris Hernandez is a little bit of Country, a little bit of Rock n' Roll, and a whole lot of bubblicious fabulousness. Hernandez has lived in The Bronx, Charleston (SC), Chapel Hill (NC), and West Palm Beach (FL). He currently resides in the apartment he grew up in back in The Bronx (he enjoys taking the J.Lo). Currently a freelance writer/reporter/multimedia inspector gadget, Hernandez brings heart, wit, and professionalism to all his work.

Hernandez graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University, December 2012 with a BA in Journalism and a minor in Theological Studies. He was named Outstanding Graduate of the School of Communication and Media. He served as an Opinion Editor, Features Editor, and Managing Editor for PBA's College Newspaper, The Beacon.

In addition to working on his college paper, Hernandez has worked at BomserPayan, social media marketing in New York, Fueled, a mobile app production company, and The Underwear Expert, a startup blog focused on the mens underwear industry. Through these positions, he has garnered a knowledge of new media and how to monetize/promote content in the digital age. Currently, he freelances for Next Magazine in NYC, contributing mostly to its Nexus blog.

He has interviewed Janet Mock, RuPaul's Drag Race runner-up Adore Delano, best-selling author of Blue Like Jazz, Donald Miller, and musician Phil Wickham. He enjoys covering stories about the LGBT community, inspirational pieces of overcoming adversity, gender fluidity, faith, sexuality, and quirky events. Hernandez is a firm believer that hyper local reporting can be used to tell stories that are more global in scale. He couldn't see why Jim Carrey didn't want to cover the big cookie story in Bruce Almighty. That stuff is awesome.

When he is not working, Hernandez can be found in tree pose at his favorite local yoga studio, convincing baristas everywhere that pumpkin spice lattes are a yearly thing, and reading Sylvia Plath poetry while baking cake from a box (though he will admit that one should only combine reading Plath with cooking if one is using an electric stove). He enjoys romantic comedies (Love Actually and Crazy. Stupid. Love), Kathy Lee and Hoda in the morning, and reruns of Sex and The City (he's a Carrie/Charlotte), How I Met Your Mother (Totally a Ted), and Orange is the New Black (Piper Chapman...without the international drug smuggling).

Here's what some of Hernandez' major influences have allegedly* said about him:

"Twuely we-markable!" - Barbara Walters

"An inspiraaaaaaattttiiionnnn." - Oprah

"He once wrote a review about this theatre show telling people not to go to it. I should have listened." - Abe Lincoln

"The only stamp of approval he needs is mine. All I have to say is, when it comes to journalism, he woke up like that. #Flawless" - Beyoncé

"He's one of the most loving people I know." - Mother Teresa
